International House is a residential village providing safe, secure accommodation for International & Local MIBT, Dueli & Deakin University students.
Uganda Street Village is only a 5 minute walk to Entrance 3 at Deakin University.
There are plenty of rooms available for students at MIBT, Deakin University, Study Abroad/Exchange students and students studying English at Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI).
The standard of accommodation is excellent. There is a friendly atmosphere where you can make friends whilst maintaining a strong commitment to your studies.
The village provides apartment style living in a quiet residential location situated close to Deakin University’s Melbourne Campus at Burwood and across the road from the MIBT and DUELI campus.
Residents can walk to classes or hire our mountain bikes to ride to class.
Costs
The cost of staying at the residential village is:-
2 bedroom Apartment A$280.50 Per Week
3 bedroom Apartment A$275.50 Per Week
4 bedroom Apartment A$270.50 Per Week
5 bedroom Apartment A$265.50 Per Week
6 bedroom Apartment A$260.50 Per Week
7 bedroom Apartment A$255.50 Per Week
This weekly cost includes fully furnished accommodation, gas, water, electricity, gymnasium, billiard and table tennis tables, spa, swimming pool, internet lounges, telephone connection, landline phone rental, use of the printers and photocopier in the internet lounge (provide your own paper), onsite caretakers available 24 hours 7 days a week and all GST inclusive.
All Rooms Are Single. There Are No Share Rooms Available.
Fibre Optic Wireless Internet is available and residents can choose their own plans on arrival. Plans range from 5GB for A$25 to A$85 for 500GB.
All fees must be paid in advance before arrival (students are required to sign a license agreement) per trimester and accommodation is charged in accommodation blocks covering trimesters (usually 16-17 weeks refer to website for accommodation dates).
Optional bedding and kitchen packs are available for an additional A$154 inc GST.
Mountain Bikes are also available for hire for A$154 inc GST per trimester.
Parents are welcome to visit the village at anytime and may stay for the first five days free of charge.
At other times visitors are welcome to stay for a nominal fee of A$25 per person per night.
Adequate notice must be given so a fold up bed can be placed in the student’s bedroom.
Accommodation is for a minimum of only ONE TRIMESTER for MIBT & Deakin University students, including Study Abroad/Exchange students.
15 Weeks Minimum Stay for Dueli students.
We also offer a full guardianship service for MIBT and Deakin University students who are under the age of 18 years. Please refer to our website for full details and pricing.
